An animation of Venus from yesterday (IR 742nm) showing rapidly moving clouds.
I've included a second animation that just flips between the first two frames
....I noticed what looks like a rotational feature,near the meridian,about 1/3rd the way down;
this seemed to be the best way to show it. It appears to be roughly circular and rotating clockwise.
Just to see if more information on the cloud movement could be obtained,
I've been experimenting with morphing the frames obtained the other day to give a smoother appearance.
It seems to have worked to some extent.
I get the impression that there are two layers of clouds moving at different speeds;
this could be an illusion though!

Observation conditions : Seeing 5/10 (Transparence) Trans 5/10
Sketch of Venus (black pen HB and blending stump on white paper) made with my refractor 152/1200,
The view of Venus between clouds was poor and the sketch was made during the daylight.
However I saw a parallel dark area along the north part of the "Y" like shape.

Attached is a observation of Venus I made on 15th May.
Seeing around AIII and I was able to see a number of cloud features on the disk:
Illuminated Disk: There appeared to be a two streaks, one to the far south and one towards the equator.
The region between was a little brighter.
Bright Limb Band: Visible and Complete
Terminator: Geometrically regular- some terminator shading seen.
Cusp Caps: Perhaps the cusp caps are now staring to become visible?
View in W#15 much the same as the view in IL.
