Finally got a chance to image Venus 5 days before inferior conjunction with a 1.7% crescent in very agitated seeing. Imaged on 21st Oct just before midday and a doddle to find compared to Mercury even at only 12 deg elongation. Pleasingly it turned out much better than expected- a real testament to the power of AS!3[Martin R Lewis: Hertfordshire United Kingdom]
