Conditions were better than yesterday but for few minutes around Jupiter transit time.
After 20 minutes I started recording, high altitude Cirrus Clouds advanced along with a Northwest Wind
that covered most of the sky in few minutes. Having no other option,it made me end the observation session early.

This represents 4 x 90s captures de-rotated in WinJUPOS. Seeing was quite poor,as was transparency
(with these captures rushed to take advantage of a trough in the cloud cover).
The apparent gap in the brown cloud band encircling the GRS (north of the GRS itself) per my last capture has become even more apparent,
whilst the shape of the GRS seems to be stabilising.

Jupiter, last night with the GRS coming into view. Jupiter will be reaching opposition tomorrow.

Finally got a semi clear night when the GRS was on show. Here is an image taken through thin cloud at 18 degrees altitude.
There is a gap in the dark stream around the GRS and a dark area with slight reddish tint to the right of it.
The turbulent flow around the GRS looks like it is continuing to develop.

Please find attached an observation of Jupiter made last night with Dr Hugh Sasse using the University of Leicester Observatory.
Conditions were quite poor initially but improved a little as Jupiter gained a little altitude. A number of points to note:
- Both the SSTB and STB seem to have little distinguishing features at this latitude.
- GRS region continues to show developments- it now seems that the brown collar surrounding the spot is starting to encroach on it. The RSH seems distinctly yellowish in colour.
- EZ yellowish and a number of bluish festoons present.
- NEB very active- particularly along the northern edge. It seems that an oval type structure has developed in the NEBn at the same sort of longitude as the GRS.
- NTB and NNTB showed little details.
We also examined the planet with a W15 and W80A filter- the contrast of the dark components of the SEB,NEB and GRS were markedly increased.

Here are IR>685nm and CH4 Jupiter images taken on June the 8th right on the 45N parallel.
This didn't help though, the conditions were not good at all.
