Hi - Jupiter from last night (August 27th 2019) through thin clouds...a pity as the seeing was very nice despite said.
Only able to image for about 45 minutes before the cloud clearing closed completely,
but still some nice GRS "wake" details etc.
I suspect it is gong to get progressively harder to get decent "hi-res" images from now on...exacerbated by Jove's early culmination. :(

Hi all, some quite good seeing for a short while last night just before
sunset. The sky was still very bright so only the IR filter could be
used. Oval BA can be seen setting at lower right.

Here is an image from August 27th (16yrs ago to the day of the historic close approach of Mars!)
The GRS is centre. Its quite amazing just how different this region appears compared to back in May-June.
