Attached is a Christmas Eve observation of Venus. I had to use my 8" telescope as the planet is still very low down.
Naturally seeing was fairly poor but there were a couple of dark streaks visible in the Cytherean atmosphere.
Other points include:
 - Bright Limb Band: visible and complete
 - Terminator: geometrically regular
 - Cusp Caps: Not seen
 - Cusp Collars: Not seen.
The cloud gap lasted approximately 20 minutes- a vast improvement on the last three months!
Happy Christmas to all and clear skies for 2020!

Finally some clear skies -
the smoke was mostly gone and some convenient clouds from an approaching storm obscured the sun for the crucial 20 minutes or so of good seeing last evening.
Here are images in UV and IR, some cloud details can be seen in each filter.
