North is up in all images; observation without apodising screen.
Observation in broad daylight with a W12 (yellow) filter. Mercury appeared slightly gibbous.
A dark shading was seen near the southern terminator;
a second less prominent shading was suspected in the North but not included in the sketch.
Terminator shading was visible.
There also appeared a general intensity gradient with increasing intensity from the terminator towards the limb.
