Hi all, here’s a set from this evening on return from holidays.
Good conditions again, and I caught the second NTB outbreak rising, and the GRS/Oval BA setting.
The first CH4 is one of my sharpest, with excellent detail. I’ve tried to minimize saturation or non-linear stretches.
Outbreak #2 shows a similar progression as the first one, with the methane-bright tail spreading south & west.
A dark swirl is developing in IR above the bright tail.
Keep an eye open at L3 65deg! There's a tiny pale spot in CH4,and though there's nothing in IR or RGB,
it may be a place to watch for activity.
The GRS and Oval BA show good detail in CH4 & RGB,including a small streamer f. the GRS,and many details within it.
The GRS chimney feature is prominent in CH4,with a well-defined dark stream waving to the east off the top of the chimney.
Some more images to follow soon.
Conditions were windy, but the seeing was really good early on (mostly the images in the earlier set),
and not so good for most of these images, although the position of NTB outbreak #2 improved through the set.
It has a dark swirl in IR642 and RGB,as well as a bright lower component behind the bright head.
Poor seeing and below average transparency on the 7th. RGB and IR742 images on September 7th 0032.3UT.
With poor conditions I wasn't planning to image, but with outbreak#2 visible I gave it a go.

The third new outbreak on Jupiter's NTB can faintly be seen in this IR image.
Seeing was very average, not great, but I used several 20% image stacks in derotation to get a decent result.

Hi all, some very good seeing the last few days,I've recorded more than
a terabyte of data this week (and it's only Wednesday!) - it will take
some time to sort through it all. Here's some Jupiter data from a couple
of days ago showing NTB storm #2 with the GRS setting at lower right.
