Mars Image 2020/02/27(UT)

Clyde Foster,Damian Peach
C.Foster,D.Peach

解説(安達)/ Comment by Makoto Adachi
 Clyde Foster

Mr. Clyde Foster observed at about the same longitude as the previous day. The clear blue image suggests an edge dust storm
from the polar cap. Because it is close to the limb, the east-west spread is unknown. NPR is yellowish. Mr. Damian Peach's images
are very well documented in detail. The shape of Meridiani (0W, -5) is interesting. The North Pole is recorded white. Looks like
a permanent North polor cap.

Whilst most of this morning's session, where I had some nice seeing conditions,
was spent on trying to cover the GRS region of Jupiter comprehensively,I did swing across to catch a quick set of Mars data.
There is quite a concentrated cloud over Elysium at lower left.
Syrtis Major is at centre right and there is some detail visible across the planet. As with yesterday,Hellas does not stand out.
There appears to be some structure in the southern polar clouds.

We had some good seeing on the morning of the 27th. A detailed view of the planet despite the small apparent diameter.
Quite remarkable just how much the region centred on Margaritifer Sinus has changed as a result of the 2018 global storm.
