Attached is an observation of Venus I made on the 15th January.
Conditions were average but the image was the planet was stable enough to work with.
I used a number of colour filters and got a few interesting results.
The IL drawing shows a few markings- these are not as dark as on previous evenings.
The W47 violet brought out more details but surprisingly the cloud markings were best seen with the W21 filter.
This is slightly strange as the markings are usually strongest towards the bluer end of the spectrum (and in particular in UV).
It could perhaps be that the seeing was slightly better when the filter was used or that the contrast against the sky was better.
Other points include:
- Bright limb band: Visible and complete
- Terminator: Geometrically regular
- Cusp Regions: The southern cusp cap was present- perhaps a hint of the northern cusp.
- Cusp Collars: Again only the southern cusp collar was seen- this was strongest in the W21 filter.

an afternoon with clear sky,something uncommon for a rainy summer season in Sao Paulo city,
pity though seeing was not very good for a good UV picture. On the other hand Infrared 742 nm came quite good despite of that.

Comments:
Gif made with two images of Venus. One captured in day 13 and the other in day 15.
About the processing,I only used Registax gaussian layer 1 and Photoshop to align the two images and resize.
SkyWatcher newtonian 203mm F/5;
EQ5 mount;
ASI120MC-S with only it IR/UV cut filter;
