With the skies having cleared, I made an attempt to image Jupiter last evening, but the seeing was shocking and I got nothing〓usable.
However, in the process I discovered on my observatory computer's hard drive some unprocessed Venus data from the end of October,
before the big wet. The data were of pretty good quality and the resolution in UV reflects that.
At this stage the planet was 24" in apparent diameter〓and still ~ 50% illuminated.
The IR image was captured with my CH4 Chroma filter (889 nm, 20 nm bandwidth). The false〓colour image follows the IR(G)UV convention.
