This capture was made on the last day of 2021 and will be my last with Venus as an evening object.
As it was,I took this during the day,when the separation between the planet and the Sun was only about 14 degrees.
I used the Methane Band filter,a C11 OTA and the ASI 178MM camera.
Here the planet is only 2.8% illuminated and thus a very thin crescent.
It's large size at over 60 arc secs is just within the ability of the human eye to resolve
and I was able to do so low on the western horizon after sunset.
