We had horrible monsoon during the last week. The sky finally cleared today.
Seeing was unstable during the start of my imaging (a few minutes after sunset) run but improved as the sky got darker.

These images show the region just before the GRS. Note the huge dark cyclonic oval on the NEB.
There are two bright outbreaks on the NEB but these are not bright in methane band.
The SEBn shows the turbulence from the GRS. The GRS can be seen rising on the last image.

Con Kolivas
Seeing 5-6/10. IR-RGB composite created to compensate for seeing limiting colour capture.

今日はメロメロとした気流が少しだけ落ち着いていました。
それでも方位角が190°になると、急激に気流が悪化します。
BA前方のSTB〜STZがとても暗く見えます

A later start for this RGB/IR set from last night, with Jupiter already down at 33 deg altitude,
and seeing conditions were poor.

Forecast is not looking good for the next few nights,
so may I wish you and your loved ones all the very best for the New Year- enjoy your celebrations whatever you have planned.

Attached is an observation of Jupiter made last night with Jupiter close to the Moon.
Seeing was initially rather good- surprising given the altitude.
Using a power of x230 a number of interesting details were visible:

- SSTB and STB seen, some darker sections and a white oval visible
- SEB very interesting, the only uniform belt was the SEB(s),the belt appeared irregular elsewhere.
- EZ contained a number of festoons, bluish in colour
- NEB very complex and contains a number of bright ovals and loops which extend into the NTropZ.
- No sign of the NTB!
- Southern edge of NPR darker in places.
- Europa can be seen on the left hand side of the drawing,
the shadow of Europa can be seen in the STZ near the following limb.

Hi all, here are images of Jupiter from last night in overall average-to-poor seeing.
The colour image shows more bright outbreaks along the NEB accompanied by a lot of turbulent activity.
The Ch4 image shows a prominent dark spot rising at upper left alongside the activity across the NEB.
