We had some reasonable seeing here last night and I was able to make an observation of Mars. Normally I would have waited for the planet to get higher in the sky but thick low cloud kept drifting in and looked set to stay beyond 2am so I decided it would be better to get an observation rather than risk Mars being hidden by clouds!
・Some interesting features on the disk:
・Tiny SPC is still visible and quite brilliant tonight.
・Argyre I distinct from Mare Australe.
・Sinus Sabeus can be seen on the prec. side of the disk- Deucalions Region seen but not overly distinct.
・Main feature on the disk was the Mare Erythraeum which showed some complex structure.
・Oxia Pal still quite distinctive. The southern part of Niliacus Lacus can be seen.
・Chrise seemed to be bright as was the fol. limb.
・North Polar Hood now starting to become quite bright- distinctive blue colour was seen and quite unmistakable.

It gives a better view of the clouds over the Tharsis Volcanoes.
Tharsis volcanoes are this view seen in average seeing and transparency.
