I imaged Mars in RGB and IR 642nm BP the 19th of September. The seeing was quite challenging given the low altitude (35 degrees). I derotated the IR 642nm BP to the same time stamp as the RGB image and used it as a Luminance channel.I found a 30% inclusion gave a strong lift to the definition, with a minimal effect on the overall colour.
Solis Lacus and the Vallis Marineris are clearly visible towards the terminator. The ruddy peak of Olympus Mons is also visible on the f limb. Although the resolution is not good enough to make out the Tharsis Montes, more centrally, there are clearly bright clouds over the position of Arsia Mons.
