I had high hopes this morning with the recent jetstream wave having moved on.
Unfortunately unforecast low cloud and a breeze over the observatory meant
that I could only catch Venus just after sunrise in poor conditions.

Here a Mars and a Venus from excellent conditions on 1st May.
Venus was unusually clean in RGB, and with a bit of stronger processing,
shows a few distinct bands, especially in the southern hemisphere.
The UV shows quite prominent banding and a bright southern polar region.
