Dear sirs,today's Venus images were obtained with some moments of good stability and transparency.
I use my 14" telescope at f/10 to give the best response to my seeing conditions in terms of useful sampling and resulting S/N ratio on final images.
Under these conditions,and with the IMX464 sensor (of the Player One Neptune C II) camera,using 4msec integrations,
and gain put to zero,histogram range of about 80% is obtained with the Sloan z'-s' filter (820nm-920nm).
Also routinely,I grab 16 bit SERs (for Venus,single 5 min SER for each independent image).
Today,IR cloud patterns/boundaries were mostly low contrast although seeing was favorable,
but I noticed that increasing the contrast with (over) processing some small-scale patterns were better seen (e.g. "aligned beads";
see over-sharpened insets),and these also rotated with the atmosphere (see attached gif).
Also grabbed an UV image,but it suffers much more than IR with daylight sky background. Anyway,
in the gif prepared to demonstrate atmospheric rotation (right panel; using the first and last of the three independent IR images,
presented to show image consistency) I also blinked (left panel) the IR and UV aspect of Venus clouds using the most similar capture times.
It is apparent that some UV bright clouds are over IR darker areas of the atmosphere.
