The seeing was very variable but there were some good steady moments whereby the cloud markings could be seen. Subtle differences in these features could be seen in different filters. There may have been a lighter region near the centre of the disk. Also:
Bright Limb Band: Visible and complete
Terminator: Geometrically regular
Cusp Caps: Both very brilliant, but it now looks like the northern cusp cap is larger than the southern cusp cap.
Cusp Collars: Both a little harder to see as they were part of the general shadings near the polar regions.

Weather conditions are rapidly degenerating here in Florida. Started out clear then clouds moved in fast and furious. Both images were taken through rather thick clouds. Poor seeing,Poor transparency. Included is Paul Maxon's images on the same date different time.

I wonder if the CD was already visible, near the limb,on May 7 (arrowed). It would have to have an about 70? long difference from May 8. The rotation of this cloud front,on may 7 is depicted in the gif. On May 9,both IR and UV atmospheric features were visible (see gifs for its rotation),namely a UV bright spot (arrowed) with adjacent dark areas.
