Hi all, this morning I had variable transparency due to high altitude clouds (see image of my observatory's eastern horizon) but average to above average seeing.
Features were detected in the night side, but no reappearance of the "linear curved" pattern detected on Oct 7 was observed.
Relevant capture data is in the image, where at the left is the result of using the standard RS6 settings that Martin kindly shared. At the center is a Photoshop sharpening of the left image, and at the right is the direct output of another RS6 setting that,at this moment, seems to allow more visualization of the NS (thinner dark boundary). Settings are in the RS6 settings.jpg attached file, and the images they are applied to are the "sharpened" stack variants AS3 directly produces (tick "sharpened" box in AS3 and 0% for "blend raw; see AS3 settings.jpg attached image). For a more direct comparison, data from Oct 7 and 10,processed this way,is also shown at the right, together with a winjupos simulation for today.
