Attached is an observation of Venus I made in the daytime sky this morning. The planet is notably lower in the sky now,but still easy enough to pick up with the unaided eye. There were a number of cloud markings visible on the disk and the cusp caps seem to have changed somewhat. Also:-
Bright Limb Band: Visible and complete
Terminator: Geometrically regular
Cusp Caps: Both visible- the southern cusp cap is now larger than it was before. It also seems to be much brighter and at times it almost seemed as if there was a bright spot in the Southern cusp cap. The northern cusp cap although large seemed duller than it has been previously in the elongation.
Cusp Collars: Both visible but the northern cusp collar was more difficult to see. The southern cusp collar was darker and prominent.
0943UT: Seeing became very poor as the sun rose higher in the sky. Venus observations were concluded.
