Wishing you and your loved ones all of the best for the New Year. My planetary imaging has been quite substantially disrupted over the last one and a half years as we prepared,and executed,our move to Namibia. Setting up our house on the farm and rebuilding and expanding the observatory took up much of my time over this last year. But glad to say things have settled down nicely over the last few months with Marina now here as well,and we have had a surprisingly sociable last few months,given our remote location. Looking forward,I am hoping can contribute on a more regular basis again,and I captured the attached images of a gibbous Venus this morning. There may be a hint of N-S structure in the IR980,and the UV shows a significant dark structure across the southern hemisphere.[Clyde Foster : Khomas,Namibia]
