I had another look at Venus this afternoon, and despite some strong wind, I was pleasantly surprised with the seeing conditions. Other than quite a bit of lateral structure in the IR890, there may be two subtle vertical structures to the left of the CM, but I would leave it to others to comment on whether these could be related to the Cloud Discontinuity or not.
