Venus daily coverage in the IR between 2024-08-02 to 16 by A.Cidadao |
Hi all, our vacations in Porto Covo (Alentejo, Portugal) were used to permanently mount (equatorial) my good old 10" Meade LX200 Classic. It was then used to image Venus in daylight (in the IR), and also to obtain 1h time lapse animations of the Sun's whole disk in H-Alpha (Daystar SolarScout DS). I share data from 15 consecutive days (August 02-16), where cloud patterns were always visualized, but no CD ever detected. A quite rough repeating 5-day cloud pattern was noticed, and in my opinion the presented data confirms previous published data from other observers. Relevant information is on the image file, and, importantly, I maintained the "equatorial orientation" (see Jupos graph) of the planet during captures. Obviously, all raw data is available, and at least triplicate independent captures were obtained each day. ≪アントニオ シダダオ ポルトガル≫ [Antonio Cidadao Oeiras - Portugal]
