I had fair seeing and therefore some reasonable UV and IR detail on Venus last evening. Being summer here,I need to wrap a wet towel around the mirror cell,with a fan blowing on it,a couple of hours before imaging and that makes a huge difference. I tape the OTA vents during this time.
