This was an interesting observation because as soon as I turned the telescope to Venus, the cusp anomaly (the effect whereby the terminator deviates from it's usual path at the poles and becomes much flatter) was immediately obvious. In fact this was the most pronounced I have ever seen it. Seeing conditions were good (around AII- AIII) and I was able to use a power of x150. Other points include:
・Bright Limb Band: Visible and complete
・Terminator: Geometrically regular but cusp anomaly prominent.
・Cusp Caps: The southern cusp cap was particularly brilliant. The northern cusp was larger but dull
・Cusp Collars: A definite southern cup collar could be seen,a northern cusp collar was detectable.
There seemed to be little in the way of cloud markings, and by 1718UT,the sky was becoming too dark to continue observation.

mages were average good. Ashen light was not seen with all the filters in use.
Cusp caps were bright.
