I was checking if I am able to witness the phenomenon of cusp extensions when the horn of the crescent extends beyond the half disc circle.

As ever,I offset from the Sun using circles to find the planet. The phase of Venus is now just 1.8% but the apparent diameter is some 59". I did suspect cusp extensions,and as you can see from the drawing with the protractor overlaid on top,the cusp extensions seem to be about 8°. The extensions vanished when the seeing became poor.

Images were just average under a transparent sky noted 5/6.
AL was evaluated against color filters.
The intensity was very faint but nevertheless accessible with the YG,Y,R color filters and not actually with no filter noted on the sketch,
No color of the dark side was captured using 14x magnification and using 56x magnification.
The limb at the dark side exhibited some very thin light arch as shown using the red filter W11, as W12 and W23A.
The crescent was well accessible and seen using the 10x25 binoculars.
Now the local weather will not cooperate for days, so missing the 22nd-23rd period. Will see.
