未明にスコール。南東からの雲がなかなかどかず、待機中に雨粒も。日出後ようやく晴れ間。
UV像は揺れていますが模様はモニター上で比較的よく見えます。断続的に雲通過。

I visited the Societe de Astronomiquie de Paris on Saturday 6th September and they kindly showed me around their facilities. They have a 154mm Refractor houses in a splendid observatory atop of a tower which belongs to Sorbonne University. I was impressed to see them grinding their own telescope mirrors which they figure and silver!
Francis Oger kindly operated the telescope and using tables tracked down Venus with circles in the bright daytime sky. Seeing was fair for a time and I made the observation attached. Some markings could be made out on the disk. Also:
Bright Limb Band: This wasn't very obvious.
Terminator: Geometrically regular
Cusp Caps: The southern cusp cap still seems to be large and bright
Cusp Colalrs: Only the soputhern collar was evident.
If you're in Paris it is worth getting in touch with this society as they have public open nights at the observatory on Monday and Friday evenings, weather permitting.
