Observation comments:- The finest view of the Planet i have had in the last 3 years. The level of sharpness was astounding at 488X. The Polar cap is definatly a grey/blue colour (very much as in Ikemura's best images of 1999.) The SSTB was also recorded. The STrZ i can confirm definatly has a green tinge to it as seen in Ikemura's recent Saturn image. The SEBn appeared dark and sharply defined. No SEBs was seen. The EB was clearly recorded. The EZ was a cream white colour.
The Cassini division was an amazing site, and sharply defined around the whole visible ring system. Ring B appeared lighter grey colour, with its innner edge appearing dark and dusky. No spokes were seen, despit the image clarity. Ring A appeared a distinct steel grey colour, and the Encke Division was fleetingly in and out of view at the p. ansa. It wasnt seen at the F. ansa.
