I send you two drawings of Jupiter made after my
observation of last night, as I have seen an interesting feature on the
planet. As can be seen in the images, there is a contrasty blue-grey cloud
that is lying in the southern part of the NEB (and it might as well overlaps
the northern part of the EZ). It was very visible, and seems darker in red
(filter 23A) and paler in blue (filter 80A). Seeing was excellent (8-9/10)
and transparency too (10/10). The instrument was a 180 mm newtonian with a
magnification of 200x.
