We have been totally socked in for 10 days with heavy rain and lingering
fogs. Clearing last night but seeing was impossible to even focus to image.

Worst possible seeing conditions tonight as well. Image obtained only to
monitor converging white spots in SSTC (top, above GRS). The two SSTC
converging spots can be seen nearly on the CM (appears a bit to the pr. side
of CM, about 79 deg. System II). Shadow is that of IO.
(the system is being upgraded....so please be patient in getting on....)

Hello all,

Tonight's images were obtained under very poor seeing conditions, and thus
only R and IR images are presented. Seeing was too erratic and since some
high altitude clouds appeared, the long integrations needed for methane
could not be produced.

The interacting WOS are seen near CM and on the first red filtered image
(average of 3 raws), where seeing was a bit better, a "double spotted"
feature could be discriminated (enlarged at left). The two components look
slightly elongated, and the N spot closely follows the S spot.

Hope that some of you had better atmospheric stability and could confirm
these observations. If confirmed, then apparently a merger has not yet
occurred and the N spot of the interacting pair of WOS has shifted from a
"p" to a "f" position.
Good observations
Antonio

Total Exposure Times:

Integrated Light (No IR rejection): 21 x 0.35 secs

Seeing initially excellent (7-9), but deteriorated later fair-good (5-7.) Transparency variable with frequent
high haze/cirrus (2.5 - 5.5mag +.) Wind ENE (0-3mph.) No dew.

Equatorial Diam= 38.6"
Altitude=43 degs.
Hi all,

I attach my latest image of the SSTB ovals due south of the GRS obtained a little over 3 hrs ago. Seeing
conditions were
fairly favoruable, and i have more images to send when i get them processed.

They now seem to compromise a single, though rather distorted spot in the SSTB. This spot was seen quite
easily visually. Also of note is how faint BA appears at these wavelengths.
Best Wishes
Damian

Dear Jupiter observers,

here is last night observation images, seeing start to degrade along the session from 7-6 to 5-4.
Resolution achieved and low dynamic range of the camera are not sufficient to state any definitive
conclusion regarding the evolution of the two SSTC WOS, never the less in these series I guess
some merging between them.
