**NOTE 2nd image here....NEZ dark area growing and intensifying....
A couple of images in very unsteady dawn air this morning, but the second of
which shows the continuing huge gray diffuse area within the NEZ and onto
the NEBs regions; it is clearly shown in the second image as it is rotating
into the view at right; this is the same feature which we have imaged
several times recent and the intensity appears to be increasing, as does the
characteristic gray/blue color.

(Left image=1st image)jup02_1016
Jupiter in very poor conditions, very unsteady; a large dusky and quite
diffuse oval is seen in the STZ near the CM; another brighter oval is on CM
(116.3d II) in the NTrZ; note bright oval separation with the central SEB
fol. the GRS.

(Right image=2nd image)jup02_1016b
Jupiter imaged in slightly better seeing, but still unsteady. Note the fine
oval/spot activity in the South Temperate current nearing CM; much unsettled
areas along the NEBn north edge and into the NTrZ noted. The very large
gray patch in the NEZ and into s. region of the NEBs continues as seen
rotating into the field at right.

Damian Peach (12" (30.5cm) Meade SCT @ f/21.0. ST-5c camera)
Here are some Jupiter images from this morning.
Seeing was variable throughout.
The Planet is still small, but Oval BA remains fairly prominent. More tomorrow.
Best Wishes
