Those images are the new bright spot outbreak f. the GRS.
It is cold in this winter in Japan, and the weather is bad,
and an seeing is especially bad, and there are few opportunities
to take a ccd image of the planet very much.

Jan 2nd: Area p. the GRS. Note the bright equator/dark
poles on Io in the double transit image. The second
set, with the GRS on the meridian was obtained in poor
seeing, and no such result could have been obtained
with the cooled camera.

Philips ToUcam Pro PCVC740K camera.
Total Exposure Times: ~400 -700  x 0.04secs
Seeing initially fair- good (p5-8) but again deteriorated to poor (p2-4.)
Transparency excellent (5.5mag.)
No wind. Light dew.
Equatorial Diam=43.9"
Altitude= 70-78 degs
