Hello all, last night I enjoyed almost perfect seeing.
I have also used the Toucam in 5 frames per second instead of 10 and the result is noticeably better...
The images show a lot of interesting details.
Does anyone has a comment to make about the aspect of Barge B4 ? It seems to be elongating into the
following direction.
Best regards
Christophe

Hi all,
Jan 4th seeing was poor, but Jan 5th was obtained
under good seeing, and well shows the array of SSTC
ovals passing the GRS. Also note the intricate detail
in the post GRS turbulence, and the rifted NTB still
persists, with the NTBn and NTBs components having an
orange colouration. Also a short animation is included
from this session showing rotation over ~30mins.
Best Wishes
Damian

Hi all,
Please find attached two results (of Jupiter and
Saturn from this month) obtained with a $60 Philips
webcam. The Jupiter result equals the best results
obtained with the cooled ST-5c i also use.
As already illustrated by others, producing high
resolution images need not cost the Earth...
The Jupiter is the average of around 550 images, while
Saturn is 1500 frames.
Best Wishes,
[Rochester, Kent, UK.]

Hi Jupiter Observers
Here is an observation from Houston Texas January 5th 2003 08:11 UT. The
transparency was good, 8/10, and seeing was good, 8/10 with no wind and
moderate dew. The weather was cool with the temperatures in the upper 50s F
in the early mourning hours.
