Some very nice activity shown in particularly the latter image (jup03_0115b)
with fairly steady yet variable skies this morning. Fantastic activity fol.
the GRS and within the NEB as well....

Jupiter in variable seeing; note the skewing of the short dark STrB
immediately pr. the GRS; active area in NEZ near CM and continued
intensification of small white spots in STC; the large NNTB dark segment is
also noted as maintaining its intensity and breadth.

Jupiter in fair seeing with considerable detail available; note the
incredible activity associated with the GRS's interaction within the SEB;
the short dark segment of the STrBand is beginning to slightly intensify, as
are the dark markings and swellings of the STB immediately S. and fol the
GRS. Much turbulence and increased activity within the SEBz, while the
belts themselves remain rather placid. Very fine festoon and associated
swirl in the NEZ, just pr. the CM as well as the dark NNTB noted. NOTE:
total of 8 STC white spots are noted in this image.

This image should replace "jup03_0115b"; image and data are the same, but
the refinement via processing is much better to show very fine detail.
Thanks.

Hi all,
Here are some Jupiter images from early this morning.
Again, seeing was very poor (see attached 2 sec film
of the seeing!) coupled with gusty winds. The short
movie shows the seeing about as bad as it gets here.
Despite the bad conditions, the SSTC ovals were still
recorded.
Best Wishes
Damian

Hi
this night the seeing was not very good, maybe 5/10 but with some good short
moments of 7/10,
so in the avi's file we can get some good raws.
transparency was good, mag. 4/5
