Dear friends,
Tonight the sky is clear and the seeing is fairly good though the strong monsoon affecting Hong Kong.
Attached was the Jupiter image with Io and Europa transit. Very interesting to see the Io and Europa located
at preceding and following sides.
I will process another images and post to here later.
--------------------------------------------------------
Dear friends,
Just processed another 20030128 Jupiter which was captured earlier than previous one. This one shows the
Io transit on the Jupiter and the GRS is acrossing the CM. The dark pole regions of Io can be seen. The dark
streak south to the GRS can also be seen clearly.
--------------------------------------------------------
Dear friends,
Here is another processed image shows Europa Tranit and SEB taken on Jan 28, 2003 at 16:04UT.
Very complex SEB structures. As the recording setting for this image is dimmer so the limb darking
shows some artiface because of insufficient gradient.
--------------------------------------------------------
Dear Friends,
I finally screened all the AVI and processed the attached clearest Europa Transit.
You can see the Europa itself and the shadow acrossing the Jupiter, also please see the shape of
Io and you will found that it is not that round. When you zoom in, you will see the dark polar region
merge with the sky background.
Kind Regards,

Last night, the seeing in Hong Kong became a little
bit better. I watched Io and Europa with their shadows
crossing the Jupiter surface. I could detect both Io
and Europa as white globules only when they were
approaching the limbs of Jupiter.
Both the Polar region and SEB showed a series of white
globules
Regards
