These days the weather in Hong Kong were cloudy.
To night, the sky became cloudless but the sky was hazy.
Seeing was average. T
hough Hong Kong is "infected" by SARS, I just took
several video clip and then take a good rest.
Regards

Dear friends,
Attached was the Jupiter taken tonight (20030327) at 14:16UT. The transparency was extremely low
(thin cloud) and I have to gain more than 80%, so I have to captured 90 mins video and finally
stacked 800 for improving the SN.
The STB is very obvious shown on the shot and very active blue festoons on EZ
Coming few days will be cloudy again and hope can get good weather next week.

Here is another Jupiter taken on 20030327 at 12:46:30UT which shows the GRS
acrossing the central meridian. It was also stacked from a 90 sec video.
As the seeing and transparency were very poor, most of the fine details have been washed out.

Spring in Hong Kong usually = low transparency, cloudy, poor seeing, humid and boring. :-(
Kind Regards, Eric Ng

Hi Jupiter Observers
Here is an observation from March 27th 2003 at 02:26 UT. The transparency
was fair, 6/10 and the seeing was very good, 7/10 with a 3mph N. wind and
light dew. The weather was mild with the temperatures in the low 60s F in
the early evening.

Hi all,
Here another image with good seeing and fair transparency.
I find more and more interesting to follow the bright South Polar cap:
some feature seem to be there, too!
Ad astra per semper.
