非常に火星の様子がとく捉えられている、すばらしい画像です。今回の画像は
グリーンやブルーも報告されており、火星面の状況が正確に把握できている。特
に注目すべきことは、パーカー氏自身も指摘しているように、ヘラ
ス(Hellas;300W,-50)がぼんやりしていることです。グリーンで明るく、ブルー
で暗くなっている所から、これはダストのベールだろうと思われます。デュー
カリオン(Deucalions regio;350W,-20)が明るく幅も広くなっている様子が捉え
られています。これは2001年の時も同じようになっていました。北極付近は明る
くなっていますが、ブルーでは明るくなく、白い雲ではないようです。これは
むしろダストの可能性が高いように思われます。

As for the observation this time, the condition of the Martian surface
is very well taken. This is a wonderful image. An image this time the
photograph is taken in the blue light and the red light. Therefore, it
understands the state of the Martian surface very well. There is one
important phenomenon in the observation this time. Mr.D.Parker seems to
point out about the Hellas(300W,-50) absentmindedly. The  Hellas is
bright in gree light, but it is blue brightly and is dark. Probably,
The Hellas is covered with the dust. The width, too, gets widely bright
by in the Deucalions regio(350W,-20). This feature cloud have been
similarly seen in 2001. The North Pole is light, but in the blue, it is
dark and it seems that there is not white cloud. The posibility that a
dust is overruled is high.

Seeing fair but improved as altitude increased (4-7, Pickering). Post cold front. Transparency 5m.
Wind WNW, 0-4 kts. Light dew. Altitude = 30-40 degrees.
SPH conspicuous, bright in blue.  NPC tiny.
NOTE: Strong (2+/3+) Violet Clearing -- seen on images and with W-47 filter visually.
Hellas dull. Yaonis, Serpentis-Charis and Helles D. dark, promninent.
Syrtis Major curved NW with Astusapis S., Astaboras, and Coloe Palus visible.
