D.パーカー氏からはマルガリティファー（Margaritifer Sinus;25W,
　　　　-10)を中心としたところの観測が送られてきた。すばらしい画像だ。
　　　　南極冠のダークフリンジに隠されていたアルギレ(Argyre;30W,-50)が
　　　　明るくなりつつある姿をとらえている。デュカリオン(Deucalions
        regio;350W,-15)がかなりくらい事がわかる。さらに、注意深く見ると、
　　　　その中にパンドラ（Pandorae Fretum;350W,-22)が淡く見えていること
　　　　がわかる。さらに、ノアキス(Noachis;350W,-40)に東西に暗いバンドが
　　　　でき、しかもそれは、エリツュラエウム(Mare Erythreaum;35W,-27)に
　　　　つながっているような姿になっている。今までにない姿だ。一方、雲は
　　　　ブルーの画像で、鮮明に写っている。低緯度地方に並んだ明るい部分は
　　　　おそらく氷晶雲だと思われる。注目すべきは東の欠け際で明るい雲が
　　　　出ていることだ。シルチスの東側は普通だが、メリディアニ(Meridiani;
        0W,5-)の東は珍しい方だ。
　　　　　ブルーの画像からは、赤道地方の暗色もようが淡く見えるが、450nm
　　　　ということから、ブルークリアリングかどうかは判断できない。

             Mr.D.Parker sent the excellent image that Margaritifer
          sinus(25W,-10) came to the center. Argyre(30W,-50) which was
          hidden in dark finge could have been seen. Deucalions
          regio(350W,-15) is quite dark. Pandorae Fretum(350W,-22) can
          be faintly seen. The very dark band forms in the
          Noachis(350W,-40). This dark band connects with
          Erythuraeum(35W,-27). Cloud is clearly deteriorated in the
          blue image. Bright Patch which equaled low latitude is water
          ice cloud. Light cloud can be seen at the end in the east limb.
          It is possible to be well seen in the east of Syrtis major but
          to come out in the east of Meridiani(0W,-5) is uncommon. In
          the blue image, the dark pattern can be seen near the equator
          but can not judge that it is blue clearing.

Small PM terminator cloud in Edom. Bright AM limb haze; faint haze in Chryse. NP Hood dull, bright in blue.
Meridiani S., Sabaeus S., Margaritifer S., Oxia P. dark. Nialacus, Nilokeras very dark. Deucalionis dusky.
