日本からはダエダリア（Daedaria;120W,-30)が中心の観測となり
ました。南極冠の輝きはまだ本来の明るさにはなっていませんが、
しだいに明るくなってきています。ダークフリンジは今までよりも
目立つようになってきました。
  アメリカからはD.パ−カ−氏から優秀な画像が送られてきました。
目立っているのはノアキス(Noachis;355W,-40)の南方に良く晴れた
部分です。極冠を取り巻くダークフリンジが非常に良く見えていま
す。これからこの晴れ間が拡がっていくかもしれません。ヘラス
（Hellas;290W,-50)の西の端が明るくなっていますが、雲か表面の
模様かの判断はできません。シルチスの付け根に当たるオエノトリ
ア(Oenotria;295W,-5)付近を東西に雲が横断し、シルチスを分断し
ているようにしています。この雲はモエリス（Moeris;275W,+10)を
中心とする雲の延長だと考えられます。シルチスの南西に位置する
デルトトン（Deltototn sinus;310W;0)に小さな目立った暗斑が見ら
れます。また、メリディアニ（（Meridiani;0W,-5)のうち東側がデ
ルトトンの暗斑のように暗い点として目立っています。南極冠は中
央からヘラス方向に暗部が拡がっています。この原因は未だに良く
わかりません。(reported by 3 observers)

It is the observation of the area where Daedaria（120W,-30)
can be seen in the center from Japan. The blaze of SPC isn't
full yet. However, SPC becomes bright gradually. Dark fringe
became more conspicuous than so far. The image about which
D.Parker is excellent was sent from U.S.A. The brightening
part in the south of Noachis(335W,-40) is conspicuous. Here,
dark fringe can be seen very thick. Lull in the cloudy may
spread from here. The end in the west of Hellas(290W,-50)
becomes bright. However, that this is cloud is doubtful for
it. The cloud which stretches east and west covers Oenotria
(295W,-5). Syrtis major(300W,+20) seems to split with this.
This cloud will be the part of cloud centered on Moeris
(275W,+10). The east side of Deltoton(310W,0) and Meridiani
(0W,-5) can be seen as the black point. As for SPC, the
dark part is spreading to the direction of Hellas.

Seeing good (8, Pickering) but high NE wind, 5-12 kts. Transparency 3-5m with frequent cumulus.
No dew. Altitude = 39-45 degrees.

SPC brilliant with Rima Australe prominent. NPH visible. Thin AM limb arc. Dull cloud over Libya.
Localized cloud over Syrtis Major, rotates with planet. N. Hellas bright in red light.
Strong Violet Clearing. Pandorae Fr. very weak; Serpentis and Yaonis very dark.
