サバエウス(Sinus Sabaeus;340W,-5)付近の観測がたくさん集ま
りました。南極冠はどの画像からも色が赤く報告されています。こ
の赤い色がどういう現象なのかおおいに気になります。ヘラス
(Hellas;300W,-50)は全体の形がぼんやりとつかめるようになって
きました。エドム(Edom;350W,0)は比較的明るく捉えられています。
また、メリディアニ（Meridiani;0W,-5)の西側にあるアウレウム
（Aureum;15W,-5)も明るく捉えられています。雲ではなく、表面模
様が明るくなっているものと考えられます。ブルー画像ではデュー
カリオン（Deucarion;350W,-15)から西に向かってこもが出ている
様子を柚木氏がとらえています。また、池村氏は南極冠のうち２０°
付近に明るくなった部分を観測されています。エリック（Eric Ng）
氏の画像ではこの様子が非常に良く捉えられています。北極は白っ
ぽい雲に覆われています。（reported by 9 observers)

A lot of observation near Sinus Sabaeus(340W,-5) centered.
SPC can be seen in any image, being reddish.It becomes a
feeling by why it is doing a red color.Hellas(300W,-50)
doesn't understand a form well.Edom(350W,0) was
comparatively brightly observed. Aureum(15W,-5) which is in
the west of Meridiani becomes bright.This place is not fog
and the surface of the earth seems to become bright.Yunoki
is recording the coming state of cloud from Deucarion(350W,
-15) to the west.Ikemura is observing a light part to 20 W
of SPC.In the image of Eric, it understands this very well.
The North Pole is covered with white cloud.

相変わらず南極冠が一部暗くなっています。
ヘッレスポントゥスが濃く見えます。
雲や霞などはないようです。

前日より透明度が落ち、雲の出没を避けての撮像でした。
極冠の向かって右下辺りに亀裂の入り口があるようにも
見えます。もう少し画像処理を継続してみます。

ヘラスの右端に白いものが見えました。
モニター中にも見えていました。
眼視でも、モニターでもアリンの爪の先端の
爪のような形はまったく見えませんでしたが、
画像処理するとかろうじて見えます。
300秒7500コマのコンポジットをやってみました。
成功しましたがやたら枚数が多くても良い画質と
は限らないので、報告には使いませんでした。
これ以降、梅雨に入るみたいですね。

近赤外像と可視像を比べてみると、表面の模様と極冠の
コントラストが明らかに違うようにみえる。
近赤外像は、それほどコントラストの差がないように見えるが、
可視像の方は極冠が、すごく明るく写っている。
近赤外を通すような細かい薄い粒子が大気に浮遊しているとすれば、
近赤外では、表面の模様が濃く写っているためコントラストの差はないが、
可視像では、表面の模様が淡く、相対的に極冠が明るくなっているのか????
あるいは、元々近赤外では極冠は、暗く写るのか???
5/2の可視像と近赤外像を比べてみても、今回のように明るさの差は
ないように思うのだが。

Dear friends

This morning the seeing and transparency were better.
I took some Mars shots and attached is the one I am quite satisfied with it.
The image was taken at F34 and I resized to 160% after processed.
The transparency is still not very pleasing and through the eyepiece, mars appear quite orange tone.
Some cloud features can be found on "B" frame.

The most interesting is the dark region of SPC.
You can see some detail on it and it seems the surface of Mars inside ice cap is visible.
May some other kindly comment on the image.
