June 18th, 2003
In Japan, observation was sent only from Neichi. In the image,
Mare Sirenum(160W,-30) can be seen at the center. Arsia Mons(125W,-5)
can be seen in the dark spot on the northern side of the tip of
Mare Sirenum. Conspicuous cloud is observed by Tharsis(95W,+10).
Also, the end in the north of Mars can be seen in the yellow. There
is possibility that dust storm can be seen. A very detailed image
was sent from Ed Grafton. A pattern becomes shaped like the line
and is expressed. Therefore, it understood a state inside SPC well.
In the image, the 20 W point can be seen. It is the valuable report
in the position to find well. Tan Wei Leong took the state that the
end of Hellas(300W,-50) and Ausonia(250W,-45) gets out of sight in
detail. The influence in 2001 shows a very big phenomenon.
Observation near Syrtis major(290,+10) was sent from Domenico
Licchelli but a big change wasn't seen.

Dear everyone
Finally the skies has clear up and I managed to obtain some mars images.
I was able to test out the 5x powermate with the 250mm Mewlon and I am quite satisfied with the results.
Seeing was 6-7/10 and transparency 9/10.
Attached is the mars image from 18th June 2003.
I will send more images as I get time to process them.
Let's hope for more clear skies and superb seeing.

Dear everyone
Here's the big version of the mars I posted last night.
Damian Peach is kind enough to process it for me as I was too tired last evening.
You can see the Tiny SPC Rift (near the CM) and "U" shape am haze.
I am very satisfied with this new version. This is my best image so far.

Dear Friends
Attached image was captured at 20:51UT.
The sky was no cloud but lower transparency compared to 17 June.
Seeing was fair.
UV/IR cut added, RRGB combined.
