ようやく日本でも観測ができるようになってきた。日本ではソリス(Solis
lacus;90W,-25)付近の観測となった。シレーン(Mare Sirenum;160W,-30)の
南側に目立った朝霧が出ている。また、低緯度地方には
明らかに氷晶雲が良くとらえられている。イタリアからはキンメリウム
(Mare Cimmerium;220W,-20)付近の観測が送られてきた。西の端のうちヘラ
ス(Hellas;300W,-50)付近のエッジが非常に黄色っぽく、この付近にダスト
のベールが覆っているように見える。ドミニコ・リッチェル氏（Domenico
Licchelli）とカルメロ・ザネッリ氏（Carmelo Zannelli)は、ヘラス付近
に明らかにダストをとらえている。今シーズン初めて見られた、特徴的な
現象だ。アメリカのムーア氏（David M.Moore)はサバエウス(Sinus
Sabaeus;340W,-5)付近の雲をよくとらえている。

June 25th, 2003
Today, it was possible to have done observation in Japan. Japan
observed near Solis Lacus(90W,-25). The morning mist which is
conspicuous well on the southern side of Mare Sirenum(160W,-30)
comes out. Water ice cloud can be seen in the place with low
latitude region. The observation of Mare Cimmerium(220W,-20) was
sent from Italy. The neighborhood of Hellas(300W,-50) can be
yellowly seen. It seems that there is dust in this part. Dominico
Licchelli and Carmelo Zannelli are recording clear dust to Hellas.
This is this season first dust storm which we saw. David M.Moore
is recording cloud near Sinus Sabaeus(340W,-5) well.

偏光フィルターを使ってみました。光量が１／３になってしまったので、
拡大率を小さくすべきでしたがすぐに曇ってしまったため、どうにもな
りませんでした。もう少しシーイングが良いと．．
火星は視直径が15"になり、急にでかくなったように感じました。

薄雲があり、速いシャッターが無理だった。 IR像では、ソリスの周辺が明るく写っているが、
可視像では、暗く写っている。  何かに覆われているのか？
タルシスあたりに東西方向に帯状に広がる明るい部分があるようだ。

ToUcamで撮影してみました。極冠の右下に雲らしき
ものが見えていました。“天使の輪”状態の南極冠
は眼視でも確認できませんでした。
南北が厳密に合っていないかもしれません。次回から
はしっかりあわせます。
近々、天王星や海王星にも挑戦してみる予定です。

Dear all -
The seeing was well above average with finer details to be seen.
Sabaeus Sinus and Meridiani Sinus are very dark and they appear in
good contrast against their surrounded area. The SPC is enlarged and
some rifts can be seen.
Hellas and southern Syrtis Major are visible on the evening terminator.
