(Margaritifer sinus;20W,-10)
からソリス(Solis Lacus;90W,-25)付近には大きな変化は見当たらない。
(reported by 9 obsewrvers)

July 5th, 2003
Dust storm which occurred in the northern part of Hellas (295W,-50)
advanced towards the west and advanced near Noachis(350W,-40). The
form is the horse's hoof form which was suitable for the west. The
top of horse's hoof becomes light. It becomes dark inside in the
form of the horse's hoof.It doesn't find a dark reason in this part.
The other hand, when making to be the part where the horse's hoof
-shaped inside brightens, the flow of the big atmosphere which
moves to the west advanced towards W200 in dust storm to have
advanced towards the east near this. It thinks that were particularly
made because this dust storm left a main unit. The change which is
big from Sinus Margaritifer(20W,-10) to Solis lacus(90W,-25)
isn't seen.

Dear all -
Mars was imaged July 5th between 9:30 - 9:42 UT.
Seeing was average with high humidity, haze
scattered high clouds and a slight breeze.
In spite of these conditions. Mars still
came out pretty decently.
Toward the morning limb, Iapygia is covered by dust clouds.
It is spreading and south Mare Tyrrhenum is obscured.
All other features look normal at this point.

Dr. P. Clay Sherrod (410mm SC : ToUcam PRO)

Mars under very poor conditions with good transparency and very unsteady air
(2/10 worst). However, the large scale dust storm in the Hellas Basin
appears to be spreading both eastward and westward, clearly shown in these
two images taken 20 minutes apart. Clouds are within the Iapygia Viridis
and perhaps as far south as Mare Thyrrhenum and to points eastward and south
of Syrtis Major.

Image with the ASO 16" SCT at f/25, Toucam Pro with no filters, Registax
images, no processing.

Dear all
Enclosed is the Mars image taken on 5 july morning.
Same as Eric, nearly exhausted.

Dear all
I consolidated all my mars images taken on 5 july 03 to show the development of dust storm.

Dear friends
I woke up a bit late this morning so missed the chance to capture the spreading
dust over Noachis as shown on KC Pau's iamge taken at 17:30UT.
The attached image was taken at 20:21UT and there is a light patch in
between Meridiani Sinus and Oxia Palus, especially bright in R and G.

Please feel free to comment.
Kind Regards

Guilherme Grassmann (150 mm guide scope refractor: Philips Vesta Pro)
Hello all
This attached image was taken on 150 mm guide scope refractor of the
400 mm Zeiss Astrograph from Capricornio Observatory of Campinas.
I am on visit on this Observatory and attache my Philips Vesta Pro to take this image.
The Seeing is not so good 5/10 and transparence around 7/10.
Looks to me that we have a dust cloud under Mare Cimmerium.
The image was processing with Registax.

Best regards
