(Mare Cimmerium;215W,-20)
付近に出ていた、小規模な黄雲は拡散が進み、形状ははっきりしなくなった。
そのかわり、その一帯はダストのベールに覆われ、ペリエ(Christophe
Pellier)とエリック(Erich Ng)の画像からは周辺部でリムが非常に黄色く
明るくなっている様子が記録されている。
レオング氏の画像では南極冠に、円形のまるいスポットが写っているが、
これは永久南極冠だと思われる。
(reported by 11 observers)

July 6th, 2003
Dust storm to have advanced towards the west spread while it became
light with the southwestern direction. It understands well by the
image of Tan Wei Leong. Regrettably, there is not observation near
Noachis(350W,-40). Dust storm to have advanced towards the east
moved to the south near Hellas(295W,-50). Dust storm near Mare
Cimmerium (220W,-20) diffused and became not cleared. Instead of it
the whole was covered by veil. Cristophe Pellier and Tan Wei Leong
are recording that limb in Mars became yellow. White spot which is
seen by SPC of Tan Wei Leong seems to be water ice.

Hi Mars Observers
The dust activity seems to be most intense on the northeastern segment of
the Hellas basin, somewhat less intense over Mare Hadriacum and Iapygia.
Sky:
The clouds parted somewhat right before dawn allowing for an image of the
dust area. The sky was mostly cloudy with only a few breaks at the low level
and cirrus at higher levels. The transparency was poor 3/10 and the seeing
was fair to good 6/10.

Hi all, this morning I had wonderful seeing conditions on Mars, unbelievable
at an altitude of 20-29ー !
There is still no dust in the important site of Solis PLanium / Thaumasia.
Again a cloud is seen forming above Arsia Mons.

Seeing fair, variable (5-8, Pickering).
Transparency variable (0-4.5 m) with frequent fast cumulus clouds.
Severe wind gusty, ENE 10-20 kts. No dew. Altitude = 51-48 degrees.

Primary dust cloud has expanded south to cover most of Hellas.
Little eastward expansion, although some dust visible in Ausonia and Eridania.
Small dust clouds in Hesperia. Dust finger crossing Tyrrhenum into Libya.
Reduced contrast in western Tyrrhenum and Syrtis Minor.
NOTE: Compared to 4 July images, low contrast region in Syrtis Major has expanded further north.
Delicate wispy clouds in Elysium.
Trivium-Cerberus remains very weak. Hyblaeus dark, prominent. NP hood bright.
Violet Clearing = 0.

This is the second time for me this year on Mars. I am learning the good way to take shots on Mars.
Last night seeing was not so bad
diifficulties were understand the correct magnification vs focusing according to the observed turbolence.

Kind Regards

Dear friends
The cloudy and wet conditions over Singapore for the last two weeks have
abated at last and I've managed to obtained some mars image this morning.
I've to go to work so I rush process the 1951UT image which is attached
along with this message.
Transparency was 6/10 and seeing was 5-6/10.
Stack of about 1000 frames out of 1800.
1/25sec and 60% gain
Dust is observed over Nilokeras, and Mare Acidalium.
