July 13rd, 2003
It became observation near Syrtis major (295W,+0) from Japan.
Recently, Hellas (295W,-50) becomes bright. In the observation this
time, Hellas was yellowly observed. D.C.Parker recorded a state
inside SPC in detail. Even if Nix Olympica (130W,+20) becomes in
the afternoon, yet, cloud doesn't come out. Eric Ng recorded that
the northern side of Sinus Sabaeus (340W,-5) became thicker than
the southern side. It doesn't find the cause of this well.

Dear all -
Mars was imaged July 13, 2003 between 9:25 to 9:41 UT.
The seeing was about average with some clouds scattered around.
Mare Sirenum and Mare Cimmerium dominate the disk.
No dust clouds is seen at this point. Still very dark around the SPC.

Dr. P. Clay Sherrod (410mm SC : ToUcam PRO)

An image of Mars from this morning; stepped the focal ratio of the 16" up to
f/35 and produced better results under still-poor seeing conditions.
Olympus Mons and Phoenicis Lacus are clearly identified on western limb.

Hello observers : this morning the sky was very turbulent, and it worsened
again as the planet was getting higher ! So here is only one RVB serie ; no
other data could be obtained.

Dear
I am just arrived from the holidays in Sardinia and I have immediately observed Mars.
A very beautiful view!!!
I send you the drawing.
Kind regards

Minimal clouds. Only a small orographic over Arsia Mons. Thin AM limb arc. Light haze over Eridania, bright in green.
Possible small dust cloud in Northern Electris near southern border of Atlantis I. Trivium-Cerberus remains weak.
SPC rifts prominent: Ulyxix Fr., Rima Australis, Magna Dep. Thyles Mons bright near CM.
Violet Clearing = 0. Olympus very dark in blue and green.

Hi Mars Observers
Here is an image from July 13th at 09:13 UT. The sky was clear, transparancy
was good 7/10 and seeing was very good 8/10.

Eric Ng (10" F6 Newtonian homebuilt reflector : ToUcam Pro)

Attached two mars shots were taken in this morning.
Seeing was just fair and surprisingly it further degraded while mars was transiting zenith ...
I believe some local turbulent causing blur image.
Kind Regards

Seeing was bad, diifficulties were understand the correct focusing according to the observed turbolence.
Results are good if we take into account the seeing of the night, this result highlights the good optics
of the INTES Mak Cassegrain.
