(Mare
(reported by 15 observers)

July 19th, 2003
A lot of observation centered. It became observation near Mare
Tyrrhenum (245W,-25) from Japan. The northern half of Hesperia (240W,
-20) became bright. Even if it becomes in the afternoon near Elysium
(215W,+25), cloud can not be seen. Bright spot seems to touch the
southern side of Solis Lacus (90W,-25) in the image of D.C.Parker.

Dear all
Here my latest Mars image under fair/good seeing and poor transparency.
Strong irregularity on the SPC: a dark rift on the left and a very bright remark close to the central meridian!
Does someone know what they correspond to?

Cristian Fattinnanzi ( 250mm Newtonian Philips Vesta Pro)

Damian Peach (8" (20cm) f/6 Newtonian:Philips PCVC 740k ToUcam Pro.)
Hi all
Here are my first Mars images since February. The altitude is low (25 degs) and
conditions are very difficult, but the resulting images do reveal the albedo markings
clearly. Sinus Meridiani is prominent, as is the pointed Oxia Palus.
Maybe better when the weather improves...
Best Wishes

Total Exposure times: 260 x 0.04 secs.

Daniel Crussaire (refractor fluorite 102mm Philips Vesta Pro )

Dear friends
I got very nice steady seeing this morning (at 360x !), AVI files
not yet processed. Starting from Saturday morning (July 19), there was a
strong evidence of Argentus Mons and Novissima Thyle with my "little" 4"
refractor (Perl-Vixen fluorite 102mm F/D=8,8 with tele-extender, barlow
2x and VestaPro webcam on Super-Polaris mount). Remember that Airy disk
diameter is 2,8" ! A small topographic white patch is obvious between
Meridiani S. and Margaritifer S. on July 19 image (blue and composite).
However, processing rules are not well defined and there are some
problems with RGB channels calibration. Waiting for IR-cut filter.
Best regards
