今回はたくさんの観測が集まった。荒川氏は永久南極冠の様子を良くとらえ
た。池村氏の画像からはニクス・オリンピカ(Nix Olympia;130W,+20)がオレン
ジ色をしている様子が記録された。また、南極冠の内部の様子も克明に記録で
きている。イタリアのクリスティアン・ファッティンナンジの画像からはリビ
ヤ(Libya;275W,0)付近に「く」の字型のベルトが見られた。(reported by 18

Today, a lot of observation centered. Arakawa (Japan)  recorded the
state of eternal SPC in detail. Ikemura (Japan) recorded the state
that Nix Olympica  (130W,+20) is doing orange. Also, it understands
the inside of SPC, too, well. In the image of Christian Fattinnannzi
(Italy), the light band which turned to Libya (275W,0) is seen.

横浜は明け方、火星が見えました。

透明度が良く、眼視でみると模様が

可視像を１つ撮影したところで、雲に覆われ赤外像は
１分しか撮影できなかった。
seeingが良かったので、オリンポス山やタルシス３山の
一番南の山が写っている。

コメント：
・ようやく梅雨が明けて、条件がよくなってきた。
・左端はまだ低空だったが、次第に高度が上がるにつれて
条件が良くなったので合成Fを上げた。
・南極冠内の輝点と薄暗い模様が良く分かる。
・左端の画像ではソリス付近が見えるが、細かな模様は分からない。
・ダイエダリアの暗い模様は、シーイングがよくなると細くて暗い模様に見える。
・オリンポス山はシミュレーションと比較すると、赤い模様の右上のやや
明るい部分に相当するようだ。

'Mars Fever' is growing rapidly especially when August comes!

The seeing was so-so at average but they were some fine moments when the seeing was still.
I used the adaptive optics and the image was stabilized even more.
The albedo features are very well seen. Meridiani Sinus seems to be the darkest feature and it
has a fork-like appearnce just to the north of it. The Martian atmosphere is free of dust.
What caught me really was the SPC. Now, bright elongated Novissima Thyle on the left side becomes
isolated from the Cap itself.
Very impressive!! The edge of the Cap is irregularly and wavy-like appearance. Also, very impressive.

Hi All
Here are some .JPG images taken between seafood and pina coladas on the Keys.
I used a 10-inch Mewlon Dall-Kirkham, Paramount ME, and a ToUCam, eyepiece projection.
The differences in color occurred when I started using an IR rejection filter.
This provided somewhat better, more realistic color balance --
Mars looks more yellow than red through the eyepiece.
I also used an Adirondack PADC-1 variable prism to reduce prismatic dispersion.
The thing actually works!
