解説（安達）

日本からもクリセ（Chryse;35W,+10)に黄雲が観測できるようになってきま
した。福井氏が画像の東の端にその様子を記録しました。肉眼でも安達が東
の端にその様子を記録しています。クレイ・シェロッド氏(P. Clay Sherrod）
が明るく見やすい画像でとらえています。しかし、画像やスケッチから判断
すると、クリセ(Chrise;35W,+10)からクサンテ（Xanthe;45W,+28)にかけて
ベール状にも拡がっている様子がとらえられています。北極地方にはかなり
白っぽい雲が見られるようになっています。(reported by 23 observers)

July 31st, 2003
Japanese observer became observing the dust storm in Chryse (35W,+10).
Hukui(Japan) recorded this phenomenon on eastern edge of the Martian
disk. Adachi(Japan) observed this dust storm by naked eye,too. P.Clay
Sherrod (U.S.A.) recorded brightly and clearly Chryse (35W,+10) on his
image. And, there are covered on Chryse and Xanthe (45W,+28) region by
dust veil. It was seen by some images and drawings. North pole region
was covered by whitish cloud.

観測当初は良くないシーイングであったが、暫くするとこの数日に比べて良くなってきた。
R62（NO IR)とB370にIRカットを装着したものでも撮像した。B370はB390より短波長よりで450nmより長波長はカットできるはずである。
ところが赤外もれがあるためIRカットも装着したのだが、IRカットがB370の赤外もれを完全にはブロックできないようだ。
加えて、大変暗く２０�pでは集光力不足で使い物にはならななかった。

コメント：
・思ったほどシーイングは良くない。
・ソリス付近の大きく変化した模様は面白い。
・東端のオーロラ付近は黄色で、ダストが見えているようだ。

黄雲発生ということで、２２時過ぎから撮影に入りましたが、
低空と悪シーイングで、２３時過ぎまでは観測といえる画像は
得られませんでした。
初めの方の画像には、何とか黄雲らしき形跡が認められます。
また、この日は透明度も良く、発光現象に出くわさないかと０４
時過ぎまで粘りましたが、観測時間中にはそれらしきことは起
こっていないようです。
ここのところ、どうしたら明快な画像が得られるかいろいろと試
しています。皆さんの参考にして下さい。

Hi Mars Observers
Here is an image from July 31st 2003. The dust area does not look as
concentrated as yesterday although perhaps broader. Another concetrated core
looks to be present around Aurorae Sinus. The sky transparancy was very good
8/10 and seeing good 7/10.

A few breaks in the clouds allowed these rather poor images to be taken.
Seeing was very bumpy form evening TStorms to the East.
It appears there was something happening in Mare Acidalium on Tuesday morning
and now dust is spreading South.
Comparing images from Tuesday morning of the 29th to this mornings, shows
definite obscurations of Chryse/Xante region and areas South of it.
Also areas around Oxia Palus, Margaritifer Sinus appear changed.
I include a comparison image for your study.
Hopefully, more in the morning.

First time posting one of my recent images!  Seeing was pretty good for
Los Angeles, due to that persistent High Pressure weather pattern over
us.  It's like Florida here, only more humid!

Images bias,flat and dark corrected.
Seeing fair (5-7 Pickering).  Transparency  4-4.5 m. No wind. Light dew. Altitude =49-43 degrees.
Dust clouds in Chryse remain, clouds now in Eos and Margaritifer Sinus. Possible dust in Aram.
Dust bright in green as well as red light. Dust clouds formed since 30 July also bright in blue.
Novus Mons separating from SPC. Argenteus Mons remains brilliant. Violet Clearing = 1+

Dear all -
Mars was imaged July 31st at 5:58 UT. I was struggling with the clouds and Mars was shinning only
15 seconds through a small opening hole in the clouds when I took this image.

Luckily, I had only one chance to image Mars and it was just in focus or close to focus.
Mars is looking normal at this view while the dust clouds in Chryse area is just beyond the morning limb.
Also, it is possible that I may have captured Huygens crater which I cropped it and it is pointing by an arrow.
