  夕霧が目立ってきた。また、北極地方の雲も目立つようになってきた。先日
来、メリディアニ(Meridiani;
0W-5)の東側の爪が濃くなっていましたが、今回の観測では両方が同じ濃さに
写りました。南極冠の東側は極雲が出ているらしく、一見して極冠が細長くな
ったように見える。軽いブルークリアリング現象が見られる。

P. Clay Sherrod the photograph took Syrtis major (295W,+10). In the
morning, as for Syrtis major which came out from the western side, that
the end in the west became thick was recorded. In the image of Domenico
Licchelli, it understands a state in SPC well. It is deteriorated
being white but Nix Olympica is not coverd by white cloud.

台風が過ぎ去ったところで、透明度は最高。いつも 1/25sec で撮影しているのに 1/50sec でも
露光オーバーになるほどでしたが、シーイングがあまりに悪く、まったく効果がないようでした
ので、かわりにゲインを下げ、1/33secでの撮影です。

台風一過の快晴を期待したのですが、我が家の天を２分す
るように東は雲に覆われ、西は星空の状態が続き、火星が
なかなか顔を出しませんでした。やがて待つこと１時間や
っと撮影することができました。透明度はすばらしくシー
イングは最悪だったので、火星面の模様をあきらめ色を重
視して処理しました。

台風１０号が去った後なので、晴れると思っていましたが、
１０日の午前２時半(JST)ころまで曇っていました。
観測中も度々、雲が通過して行きました。
南極冠のすぐ東側に靄のようなものが、
発生しているように見えました。

台風10号が過ぎ去り透明度の良い空だったのに、
通常どおりの露出設定をしたので、南極冠が露出
超過となったが、逆に淡い北極雲が認められた。
気流は悪く、球状アメーバの様な火星像900コマ
から無理矢理68コマを眼で選びスタックしたが、
像はイマイチ。

台風一過だがなかなか厚い雲が去ってくれない。３時にベランダの片付けをしようと上がると雲は無くなっていて
最高の透明度であった。慌てて撮像を始めるがこの位置になると１０本以上の電線があり、ピントをぼかすとほぼ
常時電線で火星が邪魔されているので困った。シーイングは悪い。

画像送信攻撃です。今朝の画像です。
シャッタースピードを１段上げて、若干アンダー気味の画像からの処理を試みました。
最接近に向けて、もう少し試行錯誤してみます。
北極のあたりでキラキラ光っていた部分が画像上からも確認できます。今朝の皆さん
の画像にも写っているこの部分は“極雲”の濃い部分なのでしょうか？
今朝も火星の衛星は確認できませんでした。そろそろ撮影して月惑一番乗りを果たし
たいところなんですが…。

(0705 UT) images in high northern latitudes, notably near N. Alcyonius and
the dark  Hyblaeus Extension.

Hi all - my sky is very hazy but the big diameter of the planet and some
changes in the setting of the webcam still allow me to get some detailed
images. The seeing was fair, nonetheless it was that kind of very small air
turbulence that doesn't erase the details too much.
Note that there are still very faint orographics forming over Tharsis.

Two Mars images from 9/8/03.  Seeing was best in Perth so far (7/10).
The north polar hood is clearly visible in both images.
Another major Winter front has rolled across Perth on 03/8/10 which will mean cloud for the next few days.

This is one is bit late.  Seeing was a touch better, though deteriorated slightly for the last image.
The first Tcam image was 200 images combined.
The RGBL image turned out well.  Lots of detail.
Course, as I like to tell everyone and to throw cold water on my efforts
"With Mars so large now, everyone is an expert imager now!"
Mars looks fairly quiet in this set.  Perhaps a small disturbance preceding and adjacent to Syrtis Major.
That area tends to bright anyhow though.
