  日本からはシルチス(Syrtis major;290W,+10)付近の観測となった。南極
冠はキンメリウム（Mare
Cimmerium;220W,-20)付近を中心に暗くなっている様子がとらえられている。
北極地方がやや明るい雲に覆われている様子が良く判る。

It became observation near Syrtis major (290W,+10) from Japan. That
SPC became dark near Mare Cimmerium    (220W,-20) was confirmed. An
arctic region is covered with rather light cloud.

ヘラス盆地が少し暗いような気がします。
南極冠がだいぶ小さくなってしまった。
だいぶ暑さが戻ってきたようだ。しかし、
透明度シーイングとも今一歩である。

今期一番シーイングのシーイングでした。色を除けば、眼視にかなり近い画像に仕上がったと思います。
ただ、プリズムの取り付けが変だったのか、大気収差がちょっと出ている画像からの処理になりました。
模様を見る限りでは、特に変わった点は見受けられません。ヘラスはあまり明るくない気がしますが…。
やはり最近の見どころは南極冠なのでしょうか？  イビツな融け方をしていて面白いです。

雨続きで、久々の火星  （姿を見るのは１週間ぶり）
視直径が大きいのにびっくりした。
seeing が悪かったがまあまの画像が撮れた。

８日振りに火星が見えました。ほとんど雲の中でゲイン調整とクラゲのような像に苦労し
ました。この後１：３０（ＪＳＴ）まで粘りましたが、結局撮影できたのはこの２枚だけ
でした。
南極冠が１０日に比べてだいぶ縮んでいました。
画像処理は、K3CCDtools（Capture,Stack)→Registax2(Wevlet,Gamma)→Photoshop(Text)

待ちに待ったどんよりと蒸し暑い夜で、夏場の好シーイングがやっとおとずれた。
極冠が随分小さくなってきたように思える。眼視でも亀裂が多数あることがわかる。
メリディアニとマルガリティフェルの間がスポット状に明るい。

Fairly poor conditions tonight with unsteady air; nonetheless our bright
cloud continues in intensity and appears to be encompassing volcanic peaks
(05:28 UT image) perhaps at their base perimeters.  Seen more obliquely
(latter two images) the cloud can definitely be seen to have a northward and
slightly westward skew from shearing.

Hello everyone...
I spent a short session imaging Mars last night, but only captured one colour and one IR sequence.
I was hoping to catch Solis Lacus, but I had to image with the planet only 19 deg above the horizon
to catch that feature.
The images worked out, but the seeing was poor due to the low elevation, and the resolution suffered
accordingly.
Imaged through my 30cm SCT @ f37, TouCam Pro (320x240 mode), IR through Schuler IR83 filter and the
RGB through Schuler IRX.  Best 50 frames of 30 second video clip (15fps, 1/25 sec exp.).
Aligned and stacked with RegiStax and processed with MaximCCD.
While I was waiting for Mars to gain altitude I noticed a weak aurora in the north after dark.
It developed into a strong display which I watched and photographed until about 4:30 UT.
Did anyone else catch the display?

The second night with the C14 from the Perth Observatory in Western Australia.
Just got the 2 minute AVI file before the clouds rolled in.
The polar cap around 240 degree appears to be dissipating quickly.
