解説（安達）
  熊森氏の画像はアルシア・シルバ(Arsia Silva;125W,-5)に白雲が明瞭にと
らえられている。しかし、ニクス・オリンピカ(Nix Olympica;125W,+20)には
雲はかかっていない。朝霧が見やすくなっている。プロポンス(Propontis;
170W,+40)の暗斑も明瞭にとらえられた。柚木氏の画像では、南極冠の左側半
分が黄色く着色しているのが記録されている。この様子は、熊森氏の画像で
もクリストフ・ペリエ(Christophe Pellier)氏の画像でも良く写っている。

September, 1st, 2003
In the image of Kumamori, it is recording the white cloud of Arsia
Silva (125W,-5) clearly.  However, cloud can not be seen in Nix
Olympica (125W,+20) The morning mist becomes easy to see.  The dark
spot of Propontis (170W,+40) was clearly recorded, too. In the image
of Yunoki, the left half of SPC is yellowly deteriorated.  This is
sternal SPC probably.  This appearance is recorded to the image of
Kumamori and Christophe Pellier, too.

今日も雲に悩まされました。わりに大きな雲の切れ目にあたり、輝度が
十分であったためにコントラストの良い画像になりましたが、シーイング
は不良。結局、１枚だけでした。

コメント：なかなか薄雲が取れない状況であったが、午後１０時３０分
過ぎから普通の透明度になってきた。
今日から、視直径が２５秒を切った。８月２２日から８月３１日
までの、１０日間、視直径が２５秒以上であった。
オリンポス山に隈が出来ているように見える。タルシス３山
も太陽湖の縁に白く見える。

ついに視直径２５秒を切ってしまいました。何か寂しい気がします。
朝もや夕もやが美しく感じられ、実際の火星で見る夕空や朝焼けの空を想像してしまいます。
それにしても、雷雨の後の雲をついた撮影は難しい。

B画像のタルシス山付近とオリンポス山、朝の縁が白くなっている。
雲なのだろうか。模様は、淡くしか出なかったが良く写っている。
雲に隠れて明るさが足りなかったのでｇａｉｎをしあげた。
雲で明るさが激しく変化した。

良い透明度とシーイングに出会うことが出来て、一枚目の画像にオリンポス山の中央にある火口と
タルシス３山を撮すことが出来た。極冠が中央部を一筋残し両サイドがかなり融けている。

ちょっとカラーバランスを調整してみました。
しかし、相変わらずヘンな色です。
アルテア山には山岳雲がかかっているようです。眼視でも明るく
見えていました。対して、オリンポス山は地肌が見えている気が
します。HSTの画像を見ても雲らしきものはありませんし…。
オリンポス山が明るく見えているのは“オリンポス雪原”と呼ば
れていた所以でしょうか？

I was given an opportunity to image Mars through the Perth Observatory's
24inch (63cm) Lowell cassegrain telescope last night.  Unfortunately easterly
winds made the seeing pretty terrible (3/10).
